On the third Thursday of each month, the Heurich House Museum hosts History & Hops, a public after-hours event that focuses on the intersection between the Heurich family’s history and the modern local craft beer movement. Each event features tastings and intimate discussion with a local craft brewery, plus a tour of the museum that highlights history of the historic Chr. Heurich Brewing Co.
Throughout the month, the Heurich House Museum’s Archivist will explore a theme connecting the Heurichs’ story to the History & Hops-featured brewery through items from our museum collection, many of which have never before been on public display. She will share her process with you on this blog, including the final product. Visitors can also view the final product in-person at the Heurich House Museum; the completed exhibition will be unveiled at each monthly History & Hops event, and then displayed for the rest of the month in the Research Library.
Collections Corner is funded through a grant from the Humanities Council of Washington, DC.
